We purchased this crib and dresser/changing table set just before Thanksgiving. The quality of the furniture is great, as sturdy as anything in any baby store (but 1/3 the price) and the stain is consistent and nice.
Putting together the dresser I came upon a piece that had a ding on it (right in front of course) that likely happened during shipping. There was also one scratched piece on the crib drawer, and a piece that was not correct for the crib drawer. I am VERY impressed with the company as the pieces were replaced immediately - I emailed Tuesday before Thanksgiving and had the 3 replacement pieces on my doorstep by noon on Friday. All in all, less than 2 weeks from the day I ordered online, I had the original order, (it sat unopened for 2 days until we had time to open and start on it), replacement parts for the damaged pieces and my crib & dresser put together. They look BEAUTIFUL in the nursery and we are anxiously awaiting a baby now to use them :o)
I have recommended the brand (DaVinci) as well as simplybabyfurniture.com to numerous people already - good quality, great service, simple process and awesome price for furniture that I know will be used for a short amount of time.
I did order the bed rails for the future in the event that we want to use them when the time comes as I have heard that they may be hard to purchase 4 or so years down the road when you want them otherwise. Styles and models change, so there is no guarantee that the company will have the right model when you want it. The rails came in their own box, so I just left them in there and stuck them in the garage, no big deal.
