QUESTION: How durable is this product? Is it made of real wood? Is it sturdy? Is the color dark cherry or is lighter than the picture?

ANSWER: Very durable and strong wood. There was a chipped piece in the headboard of the crib but my wife is looking to replace that section through Customer Service. I've heard good things about the return process. by Mr. C 5/21/2012

ANSWER: We haven't had any problems with our set and we love it. It is real wood and does seem a little 'flimsy' while assembling, but they are very sturdy once completely assembled. The color is a dark cherry, like in the photographs. by B E 4/23/2012
