ANSWER: Hi,

Yes, the mattress height can be adjusted. When our daughter was just born we had her at the top setting. Now that she is 7 mos old and is pulling herself up we have moved it to the lowest setting.

As far as where is the crib manufactured I am unable to find the exact location now on the website, but I know when we were searching we were looking for something made in USA. I believe it came from Orange County, CA. by Mark U 1/16/2013

ANSWER: The mattress height can be adjusted three different levels. The highest level is perfect for a newborn who can't yet sit up and makes it easy to put the baby in and take her out (I'm 5'2" and could do it easily). Right now our baby is 11 months and we have the mattress on the lowest level. When she stands up, only the top of her head peeks over the railing so it's perfect.

ANSWER: The crib solid wood except for the larger slats on the two ends, which still are not flimsy by any means. If you look closely you can slightly see the texture of the wood through the paint. It looks very clean, but it is evident upon inspection that it is real would being used-none of the "perfect" looking IKEA particle board by Maggie G 5/6/2012
