QUESTION: I love the look of this crib but would ideally like an espresso colored crib. Exactly how dark of a color is this crib in the coffee color? Do you think it will match other espresso furniture or is it too light or too different of a color? Thank you so much! by Jen R 7/30/2012

ANSWER: Our son has an espresso colored crib/toddler bed and I love it, but I would be afraid they wouldn't really go too well together. The espresso is more of a black-brown, while the coffee seems more red-brown (if that makes any sense? lol). I don't think it would look terrible, but if you are OCD like me, you may not be completely happy with it, haha. I hope this helped! by C A 8/3/2012

ANSWER: I've seen espresso furniture that is almost black, though in the right light you can tell it's a rich, dark brown. This color would never be considered black. It's a beautiful brown all over. We have antique walnut furniture which would be considered dark brown but this crib is darker than our furniture. I wish more furniture came in this color. We have not been happy with the quality of the matching dresser. We've had to reinforce the drawers and only adults have used it. We have not had any issues with the quality of the crib. ANSWER: Jen,<br /><br />I am very happy with this crib so far. I purchased the coffee color and love it. I also purchased the matching changing table. I ended up buying the dresser a little later but ended up buying it from Amazon because it was a little cheaper at that time. It was labeled expresso color, so I was hesitate to buy it but it ended up matching perfectly. So, in my opinion, this crib should match other expresso furniture. I hope this helps. ANSWER: It is very dark and rich looking! I have twin boys and bought two of them with dressers and a changing table. WE JUST LOVE THE SET! We bought this crib three years ago and are finally turning it into the toddler version. I absolutely love it and so does my little man. Getting ready to purchse the rails for full size version so we can be prepared when the time comes. Would definitely recommend !!

We bought this crib, the changing table, and the bureau as a set for my daughter, who is now 20 months. My only complaint is that you can see the screws at the joints of the crib. I feel like it mars the beautiful lines of the wood. But that's it. The crib is well built, beautiful, the color is dark, no red in it. It's durable, was easy to put together, and is easy to adjust. At 20 months, my slightly tall daughter cannot climb out, and we still have one more level we can lower the mattress. The storage trundle underneath is big and very useful. I thought that it might be unsightly since it's not attached, but the bed ruffle covers that part anyway.

The changing table felt a little flimsy at first, but it's solid. My daughter is 28 pounds and regularly jumps and dances on it while dressing or changing, and we've never been worried. It's tasteful, and will convert to a lovely storage chest when she gets a little older.

The bureau is fantastic. It is large and sturdy, the drawers are large and deep, and they open and close very easily. We added tiny foam stoppers to help keep the drawers from slamming and possibly damaging the wood.

We're very pleased with the set. The price was great, all parts were pretty easy to assemble, and the set will last our daughter until she moves out. We decided to buy this furniture as an investment. Because of its convertible nature, we will not have to buy her any other furniture as she grows up. We recommend it!

I was a little timid ordering a crib online that I hadn't seen. But the reviews on this crib were so good. And the price was comparable to much less competitive cribs so I thought we'd give it a shot.

It arrived delayed due to back order, but in perfect condition. We loved the color and I loved the curve in the front being a height challenged mother (5'1"). The quality of the construction was much better than many of the cribs we had looked at in the store.
