QUESTION: would this be good for a very smart 16 month old? by None N 3/6/2012

STAFF ANSWER: The North States Auto-Close gate locks in the center of the gate where the magnets and plastic latches are located. The latch on the bottom of the handle fits underneath the frame of the gate, preventing the door of the gate from being lifted without first releasing the latch for an added safety precaution and helping to ensure the gate cannot easily be opened by infants & toddlers. by Customer S 3/8/2012
